Clear parameters for an initial finance discussion.
These principles explain how scenarios are framed. They do not constitute approval or a universal offer.
Transaction purpose
Funding must have a lawful and clearly documented purpose. Consumer and business-purpose requirements are considered under the applicable legal and lender framework.
Security and leverage
Available leverage depends on accepted value, property type, location, ranking, existing debt, capitalised interest, costs and lender policy. Headline maximums are not universal limits.
Evidence and assessment
Lenders may require identity, ownership, title, valuation, financial, tenancy, project, debt and repayment information. Low-documentation pathways do not mean no assessment.
Exit strategy
A credible primary repayment strategy and, where appropriate, a contingency are required. Common exits include refinance, sale, settlement proceeds, verified business cash flow or another defined event.
Approval and timing
Indicative discussions are not formal approval. Timing depends on complete information, valuation, due diligence, legal documents and satisfaction of all conditions.
